Uptime monitoring
Built to stay up, everywhere you move money.
Calen runs the infrastructure behind every payment you send, receive, and reconcile across borders. This page explains how we keep that infrastructure reliable, what our team is watching at any given moment, and how we tell you the moment something needs your attention.
Redundant, multi-region infrastructure
The systems behind your payments, your ledger, and your reconciliation pipeline run across redundant infrastructure in more than one region. If one region has a problem, traffic moves to another automatically, so a local outage does not have to become your outage.
Around-the-clock corridor monitoring
Automated monitoring watches every corridor we support, from local rails like ACH, SEPA, and Faster Payments through to SWIFT wires and stablecoin settlement. When a corridor slows down or a banking partner has a problem, our engineering team is alerted immediately, often before a customer notices anything at all.
What we monitor
Every part of Calen that touches your money or your data has its own health checks running in the background, so a problem in one corner of the platform gets caught quickly, not weeks later in a reconciliation review.
Payment processing
Outbound wires, local rails, and stablecoin payouts across every corridor we support.
Virtual accounts
Your named USD, EUR, and GBP account details, and the incoming payments that land in them.
FX conversion engine
Currency conversion between fiat and stablecoin balances, and between the currencies you hold.
AI workflow agents
Bramby, the Automated Accounting Agent, and the International Tax Agent that run in the background.
Webhooks and integrations
Real-time notifications and the Xero and QuickBooks sync that keeps your ledger current.
Dashboard and sign-in
The web dashboard, authentication, and the API endpoints your team and systems call directly.
How we tell you when something is wrong
If a corridor is delayed or a system is degraded, we would rather you hear it from us first. Depending on the severity, that means an email to your account admins, a note from your account manager if you are on an Enterprise plan, and, for anything affecting the wider platform, a banner across the dashboard while we work on it.
Scheduled maintenance is different. We plan those windows around low-traffic hours for the corridors involved and email you in advance, so a routine upgrade never becomes a surprise on payroll day.

Questions people ask us
The fastest way is to message us on WhatsApp or email support@calen.finance. Our team can usually confirm within minutes whether what you are seeing is a platform issue on our side, a delay with a banking partner, or something specific to your account.
Yes. We email account admins ahead of any scheduled maintenance window. We also choose those windows around low-traffic hours for the corridors involved, so a routine update does not land in the middle of your busiest settlement period.
Not always. Cross-border payments can be slowed by an intermediary bank's operating hours, a public holiday in the destination country, or extra compliance checks on a particular corridor. None of those are a Calen outage. Our monitoring flags corridors running slower than normal, and our support team will reach out if we can see a payment of yours is affected.
Enterprise customers can discuss uptime commitments and support response times as part of their contract. If reliability guarantees matter for your business, talk to our sales team and we will work through what makes sense for your volume and the corridors you use most.
Not yet. Right now, the quickest way to check current status or ask about a specific incident is to contact our support team directly, and we are working on making that information easier to find on our own.
