Calen Accessibility Statement

Last updated 29 August 2026

1. Our Commitment

Calen is committed to making calen.finance, the Calen dashboard, our mobile apps, and the physical and virtual cards we issue usable by as many people as possible. That includes people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, people who rely on a screen reader, people with low vision, and people who need more time to read or complete a task.

This statement explains the standard we aim for, how we work toward it, and how you can tell us when something is in the way.

2. What We Are Doing

We design and review pages against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our target. We have not completed a formal third-party audit of every surface, and we do not claim full conformance today. We treat accessibility as ongoing product work, not a one-time certificate.

  • Semantic headings, labels, and landmarks so screen readers can move through a page in a sensible order.
  • Visible focus states and keyboard paths for primary actions, forms, and navigation.
  • Colour contrast that meets AA for body text and interactive controls on our current brand palette.
  • Text that can be resized without losing content on public pages, and alternatives for information that is only in an image wherever we can provide them.

3. Known Limits

Some older marketing pages, embedded third-party widgets, dense dashboard tables, and parts of our mobile apps may still be harder to use with assistive technology than we want them to be. When we find a barrier, or when you report one, we log it and fix it in the same way we fix other product defects: by priority, with a named owner, and with a check that the fix still works from the keyboard.

4. Tell Us If Something Is In The Way

If you cannot use a part of Calen, or if a page is confusing with a screen reader, email support@calen.finance with the page URL, the browser and assistive technology you use, and a short description of what happened. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days.

If you prefer not to use email, you can reach us through the contact options on our Contact Us page. We will not ask you to use a channel you cannot access in order to report that channel.
